Castrol Rustilo DW 950 is a solvent-deposited, water-displacing rust preventive oil that leaves an ultra-thin, dry film on components for effective temporary corrosion protection. It is particularly suited for use on electroplated or anodized parts. Key Features and Specifications
Film Type: It leaves an ultra-thin, dry film after the solvent evaporates.
Water Displacing: The fluid can be applied directly to water-wet metal surfaces, displacing the water effectively.
Application: It is suitable for application by dipping or spraying. It is often used on electroplated or anodized components, or on steel parts that will be subsequently painted or treated.
Corrosion Protection: It provides corrosion protection for up to 6 months indoors.
Appearance: It is a clear and bright amber fluid in its liquid form.
Removal: The protective film can be removed with a petroleum solvent, alkaline process cleaner, or by wiping with rags soaked in kerosene/mineral turpentine.
